Binance P2P: How to Buy and Sell USDT

Updated 2026-09-22

Binance P2P lets you buy or sell crypto directly with another user, using a supported bank or payment account. Binance holds the order's crypto in escrow while payment takes place. If you are buying USDT, pay before marking the order paid; if you are selling, check your own account for the full payment before releasing any crypto.

How do you choose a P2P offer?

Start with your payment method and order amount, then compare prices. The cheapest advertisement is no use if its minimum is above your budget or it requires a payment account you do not have.

Before starting, complete Binance’s required identity and security checks and confirm P2P supports your region, asset and payment currency. This guide covers P2P in a Binance exchange account, not the separate Binance Wallet buying flow.

Check these four things on an advertisement:

  • Limits and availability: your amount must fit the order range and the seller’s available USDT.
  • Payment method: use a supported account in your own verified name. Read the payment window and terms before placing the order.
  • Counterparty history: consider completed orders and completion rate together. A percentage based on very few orders tells you less; neither a badge nor a long history guarantees a trouble-free trade.
  • Final order details: confirm the price, quantity, fees and payment instructions. Do not arrange a different deal through private messages.

Which offer gives you more USDT after fees?

Compare total money paid ÷ net USDT received. The smaller result means a lower cost per USDT. Include the order’s P2P fees and any separate bank or payment-provider charges; P2P is not universally fee-free. The current fee table and your order preview are more useful than an old “zero fees” headline.

Suppose your total budget is 1,000 in your payment currency. These are fictional quotes, not live prices; assume no platform fee or currency-conversion cost in this example.

OfferPrice per USDTPayment feeOrder paymentUSDT received
A1.0015985985.00
B1.0101,000990.10

Offer B has the higher advertised price, but leaves you with 5.10 more USDT for the same total budget. Both offers must also accept these order sizes. If a platform fee reduces the crypto delivered, use the net quantity shown in the preview.

Set the order amount to fit your budget before placing it. In offer A, the 985 payment plus the separate 15 fee uses the full 1,000 budget. Do not place a 1,000 order and then send only 985. For a later exchange trade, use the separate Binance trading fee calculator; its spot fee is not a P2P fee estimate.

How to buy USDT on Binance P2P

  1. Open P2P in the app and choose Buy, USDT, your supported payment currency and payment method. The entry may appear under Add Funds; labels can vary by app version.
  2. Choose an offer, read its terms and enter your amount. Check the final quantity and payment total before opening the order.
  3. Transfer the exact order amount through the selected payment channel, using the recipient details in that order. Check the recipient’s name matches the verified seller. Stop if you are asked to pay a different person.
  4. Only after completing the payment, mark the order paid using the app’s transfer-confirmation button. Opening your bank app or scheduling a transfer is not the same as sending it.
  5. Keep the order open while the seller checks the payment and releases the USDT. The crypto goes to your Funding Account, not directly to your Spot balance.

Paying through a bank or payment app is a normal part of P2P. Moving the agreement or dispute to Telegram, WhatsApp or an unrelated payment link is not. Keep communication in the order chat. If you have already paid, do not cancel because the seller asks you to; first confirm any refund has actually reached your account.

How to sell USDT without releasing it too early

  1. Make sure the USDT you want to sell is available in your Funding Account. Use an internal transfer if it is in another supported Binance account balance.
  2. Choose Sell, your asset and payment currency. Select a buyer’s offer that fits your amount and your own receiving account, then read the terms.
  3. When the buyer marks the order paid, open your bank or payment app yourself. Check the full amount has arrived and the payer’s name matches the verified buyer. A screenshot, SMS or “payment successful” message is not a substitute for this check.
  4. Release the crypto only after those checks, completing Binance’s confirmation and authentication steps. If the payment is missing, short, pending or from someone else, keep the crypto in escrow and use the order’s help options.

Escrow protects the crypto while the order is open; it does not make a bank transfer immune to chargebacks or account restrictions. A buyer’s urgency is not a reason to release early. If a refund is needed, use official support to resolve it rather than sending money to a new account supplied in chat.

What happenedWhat to do next
You paid and the order is still openConfirm you marked it paid. Contact the seller in order chat; if unresolved, use the order’s appeal or help option. Do not cancel a paid order to “try again.”
You paid but the order was canceled or expiredFind that order in P2P history and open Need Help. Report the payment against that order; do not send a second payment.
You are selling and the buyer says they paidCheck your own receiving account. Do not release for a pending transfer, a short payment or a payment from another person; contact support from the order.
You already released and the payment is missing or reversedOpen help on the completed order promptly. Explain what happened and follow the official dispute process. Recovery is not guaranteed.

The support flow may ask for the order number and a payment receipt. Submit them through Binance’s official order or support interface, not to someone who messages you claiming to be an agent. Leave an appeal open until the problem is actually resolved, not merely because the other party promises to fix it.

Where is the USDT, and can you withdraw it immediately?

After a completed purchase, check Funding first. To use the USDT for a spot trade, move it from Funding to Spot with Binance’s internal Transfer function. That is different from withdrawing it to a blockchain address, so you do not need to choose an external network just to move between those balances.

Some P2P purchases are subject to account- or market-specific withdrawal waiting periods. A visible balance does not always mean it can immediately be sent to an external wallet. If you need the funds by a deadline, check the restrictions shown for your account before paying; do not assume every purchase has the same waiting period.

Frequently asked questions

Is Binance P2P free?

Not necessarily. P2P fees depend on the market and order, and your bank or payment provider may charge separately. Compare your total payment with the net USDT you will receive instead of assuming every P2P order has zero fees.

What is the minimum amount for Binance P2P?

Each advertisement has its own minimum, maximum and available quantity. An offer with an attractive price may not accept your order size. Filter by your intended amount and payment method before comparing prices.

How is P2P Express different from the P2P marketplace?

Express matches an offer using details such as your amount and payment method; the marketplace lets you choose an advertisement yourself. Express is still a trade with another user, so the same payment and release precautions apply.

Can someone else pay for my P2P purchase?

Use your own payment account with a name matching your verified Binance identity. If the order asks you to pay an unrelated person, or a buyer pays you from another person's account, stop and use the order's support options.

Does the 20% referral reward make P2P USDT cheaper?

No. BNBTOMOON offers a reward on eligible trading fees, not a discount on a seller's USDT quote or your payment-provider charges. Do not assume a P2P order qualifies for a reward; check the applicable account offer.

Why can't I find USDT or my payment currency in P2P?

Availability varies by region, account and asset. This guide does not mean USDT P2P is available everywhere. Use only the products and payment methods supported for your verified account; a referral code does not remove restrictions.
