Binance Trading Fees: Calculate Spot and Futures Costs

Updated 2026-10-05

Binance charges a trading fee when an order fills. At the regular spot rate of 0.1%, a 1,000 USDT trade costs 1 USDT before benefits. Buying and selling are charged separately. Use the calculator to see eligible BNB deductions and the 20% fee reward; for futures, enter the rate shown in your own account.

Spot starts at the regular 0.1% rate. Use your account rate for VIP tiers or promotional pairs.

Enable only benefits that apply to this trade. Do not apply BNB twice if your entered rate already includes it.

This estimates trading fees, not an instant reduction at order entry. A round trip assumes equal notionals on both legs. Funding, slippage and deposit/withdrawal costs are excluded.

What fees should you expect?

CostWhen it mattersIncluded above?
Trading feeAn order fills; the rate depends on product and accountYes, using your inputs
FundingYou hold a perpetual position through a funding paymentNo; it can be paid or received
Deposit or withdrawal chargesYou move cash or crypto into or out of the exchangeNo; the route matters
Spread and slippageYour execution differs from the reference priceNo; a fee discount does not remove them

The calculator starts with a regular spot example, not a live account quote. For Binance futures fees, select USDⓈ-M and enter your displayed maker or taker rate. Fees are charged on the position’s traded notional, not just on the margin you put up.

If you first need to understand the contract, wallet transfer and what to check before an order, start with the Binance Futures guide. This page remains the place to calculate trading fees; it cannot tell you your account’s live rate or predict funding.

For purchases from another user, use the P2P fee and net-USDT comparison. P2P quotes and payment-provider charges are separate from the spot and futures fees calculated here.

Binance spot fees: what does a 1,000 USDT order cost?

For a regular spot trade with a 0.1% rate, the calculation is 1,000 × 0.1% = 1 USDT. The figures below keep the trade size unchanged so you can see what each benefit changes.

ScenarioTrading feeFee rewardCost after reward
No benefits1.00 USDT01.00 USDT
Eligible BNB deduction only0.75 USDT00.75 USDT
Eligible 20% fee reward only1.00 USDT0.20 USDT0.80 USDT
Both benefits apply to this fee0.75 USDT0.15 USDT0.60 USDT

These are calculations, not a guarantee that every pair or account can combine both benefits. With both enabled, the reward is calculated on the fee after BNB deduction. Do not add the two percentages together. The last column is the cost after the reward, not necessarily the amount deducted at the moment of execution.

How does paying fees with BNB work?

Binance documents up to 25% off eligible spot and margin trading fees and 10% off eligible USDⓈ-M futures fees when paying with BNB. The relevant deduction setting must be on, with sufficient BNB in the required account.

Holding BNB alone is not enough if the setting is off or the balance cannot cover the fee. If you enter an account rate that already includes BNB deduction, leave the calculator’s BNB option unchecked to avoid applying it twice. Buying BNB also creates exposure to BNB’s price; a fee saving is not a reason to ignore that risk.

Why does the fee estimate show another asset with BNB enabled?

The pre-trade estimate may display a different fee asset even when BNB deduction is enabled. After execution, check Trade History for the actual fee asset and amount, then confirm that the required account had enough BNB at the time of the fill. The order size is what you intended to trade; the fill details show what actually traded and how it was charged.

Why did a limit order pay taker fees?

A limit controls the acceptable price; it does not guarantee that the order rests on the book first. A hypothetical 1,000 USDT limit order could match 600 USDT immediately, then leave 400 USDT resting until another trader fills it. The two portions can have different maker/taker roles.

Where available, Post Only prevents immediate taker execution and can cancel the order instead of filling it. It does not guarantee a later fill or a cheaper fee. Regular spot maker and taker rates are both 0.1%. Maker status only produces a rate saving when your applicable rates actually differ.

Futures fees: use the position value, not the margin

Suppose a futures order has 10,000 USDT of notional and your account shows a 0.05% taker rate. Its trading fee is 5 USDT. A second 10,000 USDT taker fill to close it would add another 5 USDT. The 0.05% here is an example input, not a promised rate for every account.

Using 1,000 USDT of margin to hold that position does not make the opening fee 0.50 USDT. Leverage changes the margin required, not the notional used in this calculation. Funding payments and liquidation costs are different charges.

Use the Binance funding calculator to estimate a settlement payment separately from entry and exit commissions.

For a venue comparison, read Hyperliquid vs Binance. A small difference in trading fees can be outweighed by a funding payment or a worse fill.

If you are not sure where the position size comes from or why liquidation uses Mark Price, read how a Binance futures position works before relying on this fee estimate.

How can you reduce costs without trading more?

On a 1,000 USDT order, a 20% reward on a 1 USDT fee saves 0.20 USDT. If choosing a particular route gives you a 0.05% worse fill, that price difference costs about 0.50 USDT—more than the reward. These are hypothetical inputs, not measured quotes from either platform.

Compare execution and the amount received first, then apply eligible benefits. Avoid an unnecessary intermediate coin just to claim an offer: another conversion can add another fee and spread.

The BNBTOMOON registration guide explains the 20% trading fee reward and where the referral code belongs. Trading more just to reach a fee tier can cost more than the discount saves.

Why is there no single Binance withdrawal fee?

The asset and network determine the available withdrawal route, minimum and charge. Compare the amount the recipient will receive, not just the chain with the lowest displayed fee. Both sides must support the chosen network. Funding a cheap-to-trade account can still be expensive if your payment method or eventual withdrawal route costs more.

Frequently asked questions

Does Binance charge on both buying and selling?

Yes, each filled order can incur a fee. A round trip has an entry and an exit; calculate each using its filled notional and applicable rate. Promotional zero-fee pairs are a separate case.

Are Binance limit orders always cheaper?

No. Immediately matched portions can be taker fills, while portions that rest on the book can later be maker fills. One order can contain both. Regular spot maker and taker fees are both 0.1%, so maker status alone does not save fees at that tier.

Does the 20% reward mean crypto costs 20% less?

No. It is a reward on eligible trading fees, not a discount on the asset price or on your deposit. A 1 USDT eligible fee gives a 0.20 USDT reward in this calculation; funding, network charges and slippage are excluded.

Why is my actual fee different from this estimate?

Check the filled amount, maker/taker role, account tier, trading pair and available BNB. The calculator uses the rate you enter and assumes the same notional for each leg of a round trip. It does not retrieve account-specific promotions or actual fills.
